Wigmore Wright Marine Services was established at Penarth Marina in 1993 by Gareth Wigmore and Michael Wright. They originally set up on the North West corner of the second basin in Penarth marina. 

The site having become vacated by the firm they had been employed by for the previous four years.
Boatyard and marine engineering operations carried on, on this site until Christmas 1996 when they moved into their present purpose built premises. 

Managing the lifting and storage operations on behalf of the marina until they were able to take over these duties in their own right, which then left them able to concentrate on their core business of marine engineering.

Collectively they bring to this some 80 years experience in engineering gained from backgrounds in general and machine shop work and management and repair, maintenance and overhaul of contractors plant, cranes and excavators.

Wigmore Wright Marine Services is presently a team of six.  Two other time served and experienced engineers from marine and automotive backgrounds.  Bev and Alex.  Add to these, Bob, who brings a wealth of experience in GRP construction and application, second to none.  Last, but no means least, Christine who is responsible for administration computer systems, parts and chandlery.  A rose among thorns and a formidable influence on the day to day operations.
